More Summer Games Welcome

I am thrilled that developers and publishers have decided to more evenly distribute their release schedule over this year by releasing several titles during the summer months.  Maybe it’s from economic pressures but this is a much welcome change.  Having to save several hundred dollars to get all the games I want in addition to the money needed to provide presents for my friends and family just because everyone release their hyped game all at the same time was not a pleasant scenario.   Not to mention that such a scenario is not conductive to sales as many could only afford one out of the group.

Anyway, the next interesting release (at least interesting to me) is Batman: Arkham Asylum.  Unfortunately I don’t have a Playstation 3 so I’ll miss out on the fun playing as Joker.

Hey man, long time no see.. just wondering if you remember me from 6th grade.

I see you’ve taken a highly technical career path.. good for you, I’m currently working toward that also (a little feet dragging on my behalf).

Well I hope all’s well, and good luck if you’re trying to get into the gaming bizz. I’m pretty passionate about those as well.. although not into designing them. :)

Definitely long time no see. The gaming industry is certainly no cake walk like some commercials would have people believe, it’s a lot of work; too much work for some. I remember having to explain to people, often to their amazement, the amount of work I had put into some of the small games I made back then in qbasic and C++. That was before I was introduced to Visual Studio or any of the tools I use now that make my job so much easier. I still have my old Watcom compiler stashed away somewhere.
